What I listened to most in 2009.
Not a best of 2009 as many are not even from this decade.
An insane amount:
01- *Traveling Wilburys - Vol. 1
02- Rural Alberta Advantage - Hometowns [2008, re-released 2009] $
03- *The Beatles - Yellow Submarine
Still an insane amount, but does not even compare to the above:
04- Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul
05- *Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank [*]
06- *Jeremy Fisher - Back Porch Spirituals [2001, but released in the US 2009] $
07- Paul McCartney & Wings - Band On the Run
After #7, the race is really tight...
08- Against Me! - New Wave
09- Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever to Tell [*] $
10- Matt Costa - Unfamiliar Faces
11- K'naan - The Dusty Foot Philosopher [*] $
12- White Stripes - De Stijl
13- Elliot BROOD - Mountain Meadows [2009] $
14- Woodhands - Heart Attack [2009] $$
15- Gogol Bordello - Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike
16- Luke Doucet & the White Falcon - Blood's Too Rich $
17- Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique [1989, remastered 2009]
18- Jurassic 5 - Power in Numbers
19- The Stills - Oceans Will Rise $$
20- Japandroids - Post-Nothing [2009] $
21- Hot Chip - Made in the Dark
22- Janis Joplin - Pearl
23- Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
24- Sam Roberts - We Were Born in a Flame $
25- The Avalanches - Since I Left You
26- Patti Smith - Horses
27- Hey Rosetta! - Into Your Lungs $
28- Pheonix - Wolfgang Amadeus Pheonix [2009]
And because I wrote an essay on this album and it got me through another:
2009- Nevermind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols
2009 was a good year for concerts, but 2008 had a ridiculous amount of great releases.
Legend of the Symbols:
*- Traveling Wilburys-Vol. 3, The Beatles-Help!, Modest Mouse-Good News For People Who Love Bad News, Jeremy Fisher-Goodbye Blue Monday would all rank almost equally high, but were left off the list to avoid repetition. Many of the lower ranks are the same.
[*]- Released an album in 2009 that I listened to almost as much

Quick, last minute..
K'naan - Troubadour (2009)
"ABC's"
"Fatima"
"Wavin' Flag"
"Take a Minute"
Song for new years:
"Auld Lang Syne" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard, but I have yet to find a satisfying recorded version. I did however find a version that is apparently Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
Link of video I watched recently
